The other huge advantage of digital photography that you neglected to mention is how easy it is to touch up the photo after the fact. With my coolpix 800 I have concluded that pix taken during low light is NOT a problem anymore because any graphics program (e.g. Photoshop, or Photoeditor) can easily "correct" the brightness, contrast, gamma, or hue. Many if not most "substandard" pix can be touched up in such manner to a highly satisfying result.
