Good grief. Who's being naive? You may not want presidents to be national role models, but they always have been and always will be. They are nationally prominent, leaders of the free world, and every grade school kid in America knows them and has some perception of the kind of person they are. It goes with the territory. Like it or not, they are role models. It's time we had a mature adult in the role.
