Global Crossing......

We've touched on Global Crossing here several times in the past year or so. We understand it is fiberoptic pipes, and Global Center, a web hosting competitor to Exodus. We understand that GG has recommended it as his best pick.........what, 2 years running?

Since it does not have a proprietary open architecture, or high switching costs, it would be a royalty play. It could become a king if it were to have > 2X the revenues of its nearest competitor. We understand it may have the most complete "pipes" solution, and that this build-out must be very expensive and could represent a Barrier to Entry.

I understand it is under new management, and GG remains high on the company. Time will tell.

We search first for gorillas, and next for dominant Kings. To date, GLBX has been neither, but we remain open to a more thorough presentation of its present strengths/weaknesses.
