Wall streeters all understand overbought by stockholders, who coined the saying "the more you buy, the lower the price". If AMES have bought their own stock at $22, they would have lost their shirt on their own stock rather than making money on merchandise they carry.

Stockholders in general, buy and sell on fundamentals. Market makers sell on greed and buy on fear. Unless there are no buyers, AMES should not buy back their stock. They should be selling stock to create an oversold condition. Oversold will temporarily push price upwards. If there are excess oversold, the price will jump very high.

Try not be a weak hand and sell on fear. They take your money with pleasure every time. If you buy on margin, better lighten up.
