Curious. Why would that statement imply anything other than what it states?

KANA is profit-free and likely to remain so.

Not only do I know, what Kana does but I probably know a fair bit more than most folks about the market segment.

The segment has already effectively killed the one time leader, Brightware, and there are reasons to believe that Kana's new lower price is a reflection of the same problems turning up at Kana.

Kana did do one thing right. They chose Java as their development platform. The main worry right now though is that, in a new dotcom minefield, very few companies are motivated to pay serious $$$$ for the main Kana product, which provides better customer service.

Customer service is a $$$$ sink rather than a $$$ earner and most companies are less keen to spend on expenses than on going after revenues.

I think that Kana has peaked and is headed downwards.

Frankly my statement is dead on.
