I read a free daily e-mail from Stratfor, which is a global strategic analysis company. Today, their e-mail discussed the weak financial situation in Southeast Asia. The Thailand currency has been slowly sinking for a number of months and others in the region are also not doing well. The question they raise is whether we are headed for another Asian crisis. Their take is that all those countries lack the political will to do what it takes to get their economies going again. Their citizens do not want to pay the price necessary to do what it will take, so the governments in power lack the ability to do anything.

Stratfor believes that Japan and China will find it difficult not to follow the smaller countries down the slippery slope if the smaller countries do slide into recession.

The CPPKY stock has stopped its slow rise and has dropped back. Is this a sign of trouble in the CPPKY market?
