I haven't made up my mind yet about who I'm going to vote for...but Gore is NOT clueless. He is quite smart, and probably almost certainly smarter than Dubya. Not sure if he's make a great president though, since he is obviously stiff. I prefer a more natural leader. But, I'm also concerned GWB will merely be a pawn of some set of people whom I have never heard of. Neither Gore or Bush is the smartest candidate...that title probably belongs to Keyes (whom is probably too smart and way too unstable - IMHO).

But your right, I doubt Al is laying any trap. With Dubya running double digit leads, any laid trap would have already been sprung. It's hard to come back from being that far behind.

I watched (most) of the convention this eve. Powell was by far the strongest speaker.

I think this year, like previous years, will be about which party can energize their base and get out the vote. I'm curious to see how Powell's speech will affect the hard right vote. Any predictions folks?
