Hi Herm and all who read this board:
I hope the market is treating everyone well. I have had a couple of losers and winners lately. I have also been doing some short term trading and doing ok. Just my opinion here but it appears that the market has made another top and is starting to show signs of distribution again. Todays action was ok, but there was still much weakness to be found in the overall market. The downside damage may be much worse this time. Guess that is why I am the bear of this thread.
What I am trying to say is that a more risk advers strategy may once again be worth looking at. covered puts or as protective puts (a hedge wrapper as herm calls it I think). One stock in particular that has already had a blowoff top and is on the way down is pwer.
I am still long a couple. hdd, which is selling at just above cash level. One I like is nmgc. Do some research and if you have patience, this one may be worth taking the chance. It is selling below cash value with no debt and well below book value. I am also long clzr and sold some aug 10's.
Just my opinion. Good luck.
