Well said! But I know of a number of guys who, while being domiciled outside of the USA, happened to return home for a visit for some most urgent/compelling personal reason(s). Some of them were unlucky!!! They were caught and put into the slammer where they languished under the most humiliating conditions until they somehow coughed up what Uncle Sam says is the tax payable...... You may find the books by W.G. Hill (PT Vol 1 & PT Vol 2) and by Marshall J. Langer (The Tax Exile Report) informative and useful.
