Interesting to note that CREE's annualized growth rate (sales or earnings) and its trailing P/E are generally aligned again (give or take ten percent). This used to be a valid benchmark for evaluating the legitimacy or reasonableness of the pricing of a fast growing company. Then the standard got out of whack a bit, with growing companys increasing earnings 50% a year but with trailing P/Es of 100 or higher (like CSCO, for example - but there are many). Does this make CREE "cheap"? <g>
