Well Mike, anything in public domain will be sales brochures. Access to the MSM software and documentation is granted after some pretty hefty licensing steps, so sorry, can't give Molloy anymore insight than he can glean from reading in between the lines. Ironically, I think he might actually be affiliated with a major CDMA phone manufacturer in San Diego and is quite familiar with older CDMA software from QCOM/SpinCo - things have changed dramatically the past few years, especially the last two. Quite a few companies are rapidly coming out with CDMA phones based on the new software APIs and support. Quite an amazing lot of manufacturers actually (Japan, Korea, China and of late, quite a bit in the US and Canada).
QCOM/SpinCo's VR is now being incorporated in several phones (again, one has to go to Japan unfortunately) - why are we in America, such technology laggards?
Anyway, Molly's points are well taken - the GSM waters are not to be treaded lightly. We're learning our lessons.
