SMARTSALES ANNOUNCES SOURCE CODE AGREEMENT

Toronto, July 31st, 2000- SmartSales Inc. (CDNX:SA) announced today the signing of a source code agreement for the original version of the SmartSales product suite with Polskie Siece Teleinformatyczne S.A. (PST). Under the terms of the agreement, PST will have exclusive rights to market the original version of the SmartSales source code in certain European countries including Poland, Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic and parts of the former Yugoslavia. The financial terms involve payment of an up-front fee, which has already been received, plus royalties on every desktop license sold in the territories covered under the agreement.
