Dear JCJ: It's nice to see someone willingly admit that he (or she) is not a good driver. My dream car is a long wheel base, manual, diesel Land Rover. They have aluminum bodies and, according to mechanics in 3rd world countries, are VERY easy to work on and can be kept on the road forever. I have never seen one in the USA. Oh, they are not very attractive but I like the suspension and should I find a fresh road kill, more suitable for slinging the deer on the roof than something like a Land Cruiser or Cherokee [JDN's scratch issue] ;) Alas, I shall never buy one because it would not meet one very important criteria: ease of getting spare parts.
