Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
In July 1999, Lexicon and Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (www.mlnm.com) entered a multi-year, functional genomics agreement for the creation of custom knockout mice for use by Millennium in the validation of potential drug targets identified and selected by Millennium.
Merck Genome Research Institute
Lexicon and the Merck Genome Research Institute (www.mgri.org) signed an agreement in April 1997 for the generation of 150 lines of OmniBank mice. The OmniBank mice produced under the agreement will be made available to researchers throughout the world, at a nominal fee, through one or more not-for-profit distributors selected by MGRI for that purpose. A committee of leading scientists appointed by MGRI selects the lines of OmniBank mice produced under the agreement.
