It "just" a 50% retracement. It happens to all good stocks. Examples:

Nortel on TSE (ie $CDN) was $30 in Sept 99, got to $105 in March, retraced 50% of that move down to $62 and then moved up to almost $120 a few days ago.

Intel was $35 in December 99, reached $73 in April, retraced 50% to $53 in May and then got back to its highs a couple of weeks ago.

Walt Disney was $23.50 in Nov 99, reached $39 in Feb, retraced 50% to 31 at the end of Feb and then went up to $44 in May.

There are lots of other examples.

AMD was $16.50 in October 99, reached $97 in June. A 50% retracement would take us down to $57. Or we could just use the steeper part of AMD's move starting from $22 in December. The 50% retracement would then be to $62 which is also very close to the 200 day average. We are almost there.

PS I wish I had figured this out before buying some more AMD this morning at $69 5/8.
