david, while I agree that a sector turn-around will definitely help, surely you would agree that any of the following hypothetical announcements would decouple AMD from the SOX (to the upside): (1) Dell announces Duron systems (apologies to Scumbria) (2) AMD demos Mustang system (3) AMD announces Q3 completely sold-out (4) AMD announces VIA on track to deliver 2M KT-133 chipsets in August (5) AMD announces 'limited' release of 1.2 GHz Tbird (6) AMD announces late September volume shipping of 760 chipset ... In short (no pun intended), I think there are a large number of 'announcements' that have teeth, and would cause a sizeable upside move. Whether any of these is true is up for debate, but I'm betting at least a couple are feasible. Doug
