tekgirl and I are car-shopping, and we just test-drove an Audi A6 wagon. At one point she commented on the instrumentation, which was all precise glowing red against a dark black background, and said she it felt kind of eerie, like she was in some kind of infrared or laser sight or something. I looked closer, and my memory kicked in, and I remembered something about Cree selling LED's to Siemens for use in VW instrument panels. I think these were them, and I have to say, they looked pretty cool.
