Fernando: More hard data for your spreadsheet.

Ingram Micro (a distributor) is selling three models of Zip drive: Internal SCSI, External SCSI, and External Parallel. The dealer price of all three are the same: $174.50. Assuming 10% markup, this gives Iomega a $158.64 per drive. I would not believe anything less than $155.00.

Zip disk 10-packs are dealer cost $118.67. Again, 10% markup gives Iomega $10.79 per disk. If Ingram is marking them up 15%, Iomega gets $10.32 per disk. On an accessory like the Zip disks, they may get that higher markup.

Ingram charges dealers $15.48 for single Zip disks. I doubt they sell many singles, but those they do net them a 43% markup (assuming $10.79 cost).

Hope this helps.
