Crazy: Re the A7V and cd-rom and such.. I was able to get the drivers for it at the Asus site.. not a big deal

Everything seems to have loaded up fine.. but wit 2 important exceptions.. my whole computer freezes when I attempt to load up Diablo II or Starcraft:Broodwars - two extremely good games that had no problem whatsoever running on the K6-2 400 system using the same video card.. Broodwars loads the titl screen and then tries to load before halting and freezing up the whole system.. while Diablo II doesnt even get that far.. Its scren goes blank as it attempts to load and change video resolution and also freezes everything

I am unsure whether to blame Asus or Via's chipset.. I cant really since I cant isolate the problem yet other then it hates those 2 games and seems to run fine with everything else. I did uninstall the AGP portion of the Via 4 in one srivers to see if that would make a diff.. but it didnt.

Still puzzling over it now as I type:
