Eric thank you for pointing to the article, it is just hilarious re: they said that they unfortunately don't have another sample hmmmmm...... mass production redefined :-)) re: the processor is not available in retail, which is why it wouldn't have to run on any mainstream platforms hmmmm..... processor is not available and that is why we don't care if it runs? re: ship to OEMs only, who would have to validate hmmmm..... intel's state of the art quality control? re: It is not that uncommon that Intel processors might be faulty. For an end customer that would not be an issue I think the ending like "trust me" is missing here re: After all that was not proven yet. However, Intel admits that it is of course possible that there is a serious problem, because the opposite has not been proven either. well the 1st sentence says that intel did not ship enough chips to prove.... The second sentence says that Intel does not have enough chips to prove it otherwise Regards -Albert ps It is hard to believe that it is not a joke, is it?
