I do not really care for either candidate with passion this year..and yes I represent the young, youth generation that they are trying to reach out to.
Bush is just a figure head in my opinion, mostly image that the GOP is trying to pass on so that other proven leaders that is surrounding this campaign can get into office, which may not be a bad ploy. Main problem i have here is that I don't really trust GWB, not as a individual as I do not personally know him other then his acheivements and life outline, rather as a leader. I am no way convinced this man has the ability to reason on the highest levels of office or negotiate with critical decisions that he will be involved with, but others around have the exp. which is why i see him as a figure head..I find this dangerous and can't for the life of me figure out how the GOP is going to convince Americans of this obvious ploy. John McCain in my opinion would have been the obvious choice. So far I have found the Nationals as a image farce, where all the big names are stepping up.. but can you honestly beleive all of this... just seems way to contrived IMHO.
I liked the CNN peice on how GWB made most of his personal money. After investing in the Texas Rangers for a small %, and being a team figure head, he managed to get the state of Texas to build the new Arlington Stadium, and NOT give the state of Texas any Ownership... Instead the Gov. made the other team owners a tremendous some on the new stadium and turned his investment, roughly 650k per CNBC into 50M. Shortly thereafter he is Gov. of Texas... sure puzzles me as to the logic of many....
Not to interested in Gore either... both are family men though..at least that is a plus.
As a younger American, I just wish that the themes of image would dissipate, and that best most qualifeid man for the job would be instilled into our highest ranking US position.
I can't be the only American to feel this way... |
