08/02 10:52A Zenon Gets C$5M ZeeWeed Pact For Alberta Oil Sands Proj Zenon/Oil Sands -2: Plant To Be Completed In 2002 OAKVILLE, Ont. (Dow Jones)--Zenon Environmental Inc. (T.ZEN) has secured a C$5 million contract to supply its ZeeWeed water filtration technology to an Alberta oil sands project. In a press release, Zenon said it received the order from Bantrel Inc. It said Bantrel is acting on behalf of the Athabasca Oil Sands project, a joint venture of Shell Canada Ltd. (T.SHC), Chevron Corp.'s (CHV) Chevron Canada Resources Ltd. and Western Oil Sands LP. Zenon said the plant which will house the technology is under construction, and scheduled for completion in 2002. It said this is its second contract with the joint venture.
