How about being encrusted with demons from volcanos? That's got to be one of the all-time weird beliefs in philosophical thought. When some says they're a Scientologist here's what I what I ask myself: a) Do they know about that "volcano-demon encrustation" theory of Scientology? b) And they are STILL a Scientologist? Yes, jbe, if you answered "none of the above", you MIGHT believe in this. But, probably not. I'm thinking of starting a religion that serves a master race of Pink Space Bunnies. The entry to the religion is dependent upon only one criterion (and it's not a strong belief in PSBs); it requires only large deposits of U.S. dollars to my off-shore account. Renounce your wealth and the PSBs will let you into the Carrot Patch of Heaven. I don't mock most religions because I think that is disrespectful of the culture and traditions of others. This is not something I'm inclined to do because it is mean and wrong. But this is a cult started by a science fiction writer!! Good grief!!!
