Lizzie, I think you're right about the article. Besides, until companies take the plunge and wean themselves off some of their legacy systems, they are probably stuck with big consulting bills, not only to set up their data into XML for internal use, but also to set up the transforms for exchange with others. As you've seen first hand a lot of companies just won't give up their legacy systems without a fight.

Calling XML an industrial version of HTML would probably cause a lot of people to dismiss the article.
