Celebrating The Irrational.....
>>Most religions are impossible to evaluate rationally since they celebrate the irrational. I think there will always be a divide between people who approach the world rationally, and people who approach it irrationally. I think a fundamentalist Christian and an Orthodox Jew have a much better chance of understanding each other, than an agnostic has of understanding either. There is a huge gulf between all people- imposed by the fact that we are encapsulated in separate bodies and forced to communicate by imperfect language about our personal apprehension of the world. But when two people have not only the unique perspective imposed on all humans by our separateness but have as WELL a completely different way of approaching the manifestations of the external and internal worlds- there is no hope of true understanding. Just my opinion.>>

So true!
Most of what we refer to as "religion" in this world are irrational paradigms of fear.
The only difference is that religions, in effect, become official regulatory bodies which audit/track and share new insights, beliefs and conflicts into this ongoing "state of fear."
And, too often, what passes for "giving" becomes a "fear" tax - monitored, audited, regulated and tracked in the glory of it's subversive confusion.
I believe forgiveness is the "key to the Kingdom" which I like to think of as the oil in the engine, the hinge the front door to our hearts and souls.
And if you believe in the power of light, openness, energy, trust, community, connectivity, collaboration and cooperation which the "net effect" is blessing/gifting the world, then you also have to begin to believe that these "fear paradigms" are quickly running their course.
We may not believe this, but I strongly believe that each indiviual has the unlimited power to minister, reach out, help, serve, support and change the world.
It's going to upset a lot of people, but the earth (FEAR) - what we "see" and "feel" and touch/know - is NOT the center of our "universe" anymore.
Love - THE SUN - IS at the center.
It's just taken hundreds, if not thousands of years for us more and more people to come to realize this.
We all get our energy from ONE source. There is no reason to separate and divide us from this ONE source unless "that which separates and divides" feeds on our fears.
And by sharing this I in no way am judging as "right or wrong" or "good or bad" anyone or any religion. There are some massively wonderful things done by individuals who, operating from various religious platforms/communities, reach out to help/serve/care for others while spreading goodwill, hope, light and love.
I'm only commenting on the division and separation which unfortunately is part of this same reality.
For the only "rational" thing to celebrate and share is ONE thing: LOVE.
Peace.
