Whatever Russo's intentions, it has caused many billions of dollars to disappear in AMD market Cap. He could have just as easily not have speculated as to 'why'. If he knew something for sure, say so, but to speculate like this in a public statement is amazing!

Russo wasn't speculating. Besides what he said was not bad....he said the supply chain is getting better. When he made his comments, several companies already had failed to make earnings and were blaming it on component shortages. He was reassuring the markets which is a good thing for AMD and everyone else.

Do you know how fast the Naz including AMD will drop if CSCO fails to make earnings next week...that's all we would need. I don't even want to think about it.

Besides Russo's comments were only an excuse to sell.....there is a great deal of fear around the employment numbers coming out this Friday. If they come in too high, we will go down. People are selling ahead of Friday.
