"Unfavourable market conditions" ... for companies "using a special technology" (sic) - "...Softbank, the Japanese Internet investment company that came to symbolise the financial might of the new economy, has scrapped plans to float five subsidiaries after seeing £100bn wiped off its market value. The dramatic change in strategy is thought to be related to the collapse in Softbank’s share price from Y60 666 (£370) in February this year to Tuesday’s closing price of Y9 250. The company’s market value has fallen from £121bn to just £18.6b..."
