I'm not in a hurry to die. That's all there is to it. Of course some people are really phobic about death- I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about being unwilling to die because you aren't sure you're going to get anything better than here (which includes everything just ending). Bird in the hand, and all that.

If you have no urge to preserve your life, I'd say you are not very well adapted to living. The urge to move out of the way of a speeding car, to avoid high places,, etc, it's an ingrained (imo) spirit of self preservation. That's what I'm calling fear of death. We don't avoid what we don't fear (imo). If you'd just let a car mow you down rather than get out of the way than I believe you have no fear of death. If you'd move, I think you are kidding yourself.
