The fuel systems developed by IMPCO will operate on natural gas and propane, will utilize IMPCO's
state-of-the-art fuel injection products and will be controlled by IMPCO's proprietary software and
electronics. Under the contract, IMPCO will develop the complete fuel systems including injectors,
electronic controllers, fuel storage, fuel lines and all of the necessary equipment for the system to be
fully integrated in the vehicle to ensure transparency to the end-users. Furthermore, IMPCO will
validate the fuel storage, fuel metering and controls to GM's stringent specifications and certify that the
low emissions levels will be met throughout the life of the vehicle.

The concept vehicles will be developed by IMPCO's new Advanced Vehicle Concepts Center located in
Lake Forest, California, which opened last month. The commercialization phase will take place in a
new facility in the Detroit area currently being established to specifically execute this work. IMPCO
recently opened its Detroit Headquarters, located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, in order to bring
IMPCO's automotive design activities closer to the customer in Detroit.

This recent award adds to IMPCO's existing track record as GM's Tier One supplier for its alternative
fuel vehicle systems. This relationship began in 1993 and resulted in clean emission vehicles, which
were first available to the market in the 1997 model year.

Syed Hussain, Vice President and General Manager of IMPCO's Technology and Automotive OEM
Division said, "We at IMPCO are very pleased to have been once again selected by GM to provide the
fuel systems for their premier line of clean emission vehicles. We are committed to providing a fuel
system that not only meets the targeted reduced emission levels through the deployment of
state-of-the-art technology but also meets GM's standards of reliability and durability for the entire
vehicle."
