<<The other day, they mentioned there was a financial problem with the suspension maker KRP.>>

That would be new news to me Mark. KRP was on the ropes some 18 months ago as I recall. The banks put their KRP paper up in a fire sale and Magnecomp took aim but Prudential Securities swooped in and apparently recapitalized the operation. KRP has a long Seagate history and relationship and I supposed then they had a role in that deal. It seemed likely that KRP was the source of suspensions for the INVX flex thing going to Seagate.

I don't know the current story Mark, but in the long run INVX either has to make suspensions as well as the flex or get out of this particular business. Whichever, they have certainly moved their buns to develop viable non-disk business (ADFLEX). Its a pretty impressive company.

I hope you got the story right though; it would give me a rational reason to explain why HTCH just jumped a couple of bucks for no obvious reason. And it might actually mean HTCH will finally get a real TSA opening into Seagate. Until HTCH can find a home for another 20-30 million units a quarter they just can't make serious money.

Best Regards......Tom
