I like to question things presented as objective facts and make sure they really have substance.

As do I. Nevertheless we differ on quite a few key points. I have taken the objective facts that God is to be served by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for but the evidence of things not yet seen. In other words it's an even greater accomplishment to have faith that something is going to happen that to just sit back and just witness something happen. In the former you are a participant, in the latter you are a mere spectator.

Before you tangle with that let me just say that I was raised with no religious background whatsoever. I never attended any church function until after I had already left home, therefore I was able to think and do as I saw fit.

I would have stayed an agnostic had it not been the sovereign work of God in my life. Nevertheless, because I was an agnostic at one time I still know how one thinks.. Now to some a Christian is seen as being limited in their ability to think for themselves because they have so many "guidelines" to abide by. I am here to say that to be a Christian and to have a walk with God far exceeds anything else on this earth. My mind can stretch to boundaries far beyond that of any agnostic.

Let's put it this way. You see a homeless man. Is he free? Does he have any cares? He (in my opinion)is just like the agnostic, free to roam as he will! He has no responsibilities (guidelines) weighing him down. But on the other hand he HAS NO REAL HOPE OR REASON FOR GOING ON

Shall we go on further?.....
