Charles: If you haven't checked the stories for Monday, 6/24, on AMD's web, it's a good read...explains some of the "diversified" non-
intel type stuff we've been talking about: note the PCS stuff; that's
going to be big.

Cyrix 6x86 chip performed extremely well in the benchmark check but maybe it's too new to go to the bottom line just jet.

The DRAM's are still in very heavy demand but book-to-bill fell way
down because last year the fabs were cranking them out so fast that
there's now a glut of them...that won't last long because people with
older PC's that lack memory are snapping them up at these prices...it's incredible how fast memory prices fell. Just be glad
you didn't go with the momentum investors who bought Micron @ 94 1/2
last year...think it's around 25 or 30 now and still too expensive.

By the same token, don't judge AMD stock by last year's high of 39 1/2...AMD stock was never worth that much...someday it will be, but
that will be a long way down the road. I'm thinking it could get back
to 20+ in 6 months to a year, but not much more than that unless some
of their new stuff really takes off...still, you never know.

DeBeers Centenary, the marketing arm of DeBeers Consolidated Mines,
is THE global broker in diamond-trading arena; if they don't get the
prices they want, they withhold supply until the shortages drive the
prices up. (Be nice if AMD could do that with flash memory!)
