Dave, I agree with mr mark on refurbished. But I think not all refurbished Dell computers were returned because of technical problems. Dell has a liberal return policy and it's possible some were returned because the buyer changed her mind. In any case, the warranty is the same as for a new computer. Others, like HP and IBM, also offer refurbished computers, although I'm not sure if their warranty is as for new.
