I agree with you Bradley and Jim! New transforming technologies are always difficult at first. Like childbirth, the pain sucks but is worth it in the end. You are glad it happened the rest of your life. Right now we are witnessing the birth of a new paridigm in communcations by Globalstar and Cyberstar who have a big lead over Gates and McCaw's ICO and Teledesic. Witness the slow start Nextel had that was worth enduring. Those who have the vision to see the path of progress with some due diligence can reap rewards so great it is difficult to comprehend. Over the next year I expect to see the following: 1. Continued and steady increases in MOU's and handsets. 2. IFN installed in Delta Airlines. 3. Military purchases of phones that will grow and grow. 4. New military uses for Globalstar's data as well as voice through the JEDI system.(It will become the standard for the military) 5. Many cruise lines installing Globalstar systems for their passengers and crew.(It will become the standard in most maritime communication). Many INMARSAT customers will switch to Globalstar except a few ships that regularly travel in far ocean areas. 6. Qualcomm and Norsat SCADA applications in many, many industries. 7. Major trucking companies will be installing combination Phone/SCADA(Omnitracs) systems that allow them to save millions of dollars in inefficiency due to lack of communication or information. 8. Globalstar will become standard communication and GPS tools in most commercial and private boats. 9. Fixed phones will become commonplace in underdeveloped countries and remote locations to meet legislative demands for increased communication to promote development. 10. Many government agencies and militaries of all out allies will come to use Globalstar as the standard for remote communications. 11. Other phone companies will contract to use Globalstar's sat feature to give their customers seamless communications paying a percentage to the service providers. 12. Wingcast by Qualcomm and Ford will offer an option to upgrade your car to have Globalstar Sat capability allowing truly seamless communications. 13. A sufficient number of the 1,000,000,000 cell users predicted in 3 years will use trimode or dualmode Globalstar phones to fully max the system out. Remember that Irwin Jacobs predicts a second billion cell users in much less time than it will have taken to reach the 1 billion mark. Globalstar stands to benefit from this enormous growth. 14. Many, many other positive uses and developments we have not even dreamed of yet. I do not know if Globalstar will be cash flow positive by Dec 2001 but as long as the progess is developing and growing significantly any shortfalls would easily be managed. Look at Nextel. They have 6 million users and 12 billion dollars of debt and still don't break even I understand. Their future is not in question. I think that Globalstar's progress will be percentage wise faster than Nextel's was in its early stages due to the many diverse uses that Globalstar has. Globalstar has a virtual monopoly in the particular communications service it provides. Nextel did not except for 2 way radio. The road is long but the future is bright! Each challenge will be met with new answers. Finally, I predict that the share prices of BOTH LORAL and GLOBALSTAR will be exponentially higher in a year or two than they are now. Investartist
