By the way, there is no reason to invoke quantum mechanics. According to Plato, the objects in the temporal realm are "known" only through belief, and no account about them can be more than a likely story, because they are not perfectly stable and intelligible. The goal, then, in the world of sense, is to achieve a high degree of confidence, not unqualified certainty. As a practical matter, though, we distinguish between fact and opinion........
