flatsville: An on going problem in the early desktop publishing days, was to get dimensions to reproduce on screen and also print out correctly. It can still be a problem.

Most of today’s charting software packages do not reproduce charts dimensionally accurate enough to be usable with mechanical drawing tools when laid over your screen or when used with a print out. Screen representation and printouts can vary depending on the software being used.

Just drawing trend lines with a straight edge is ok, but when you start applying exact angles you can and often will have problems.
