Another news of CGIX,

PITTSBURGH, June 17 / -- Carnegie Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CGIX) (CGI)
and Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP) (HP) announced today plans to
integrate CGI's Customer Xpress(TM) and HP's Smart ContAct solution. The
integration of these two systems provides a leading edge solution for
enhanced customer interaction that helps companies increase their level of
service and productivity while reducing operating costs. CGI and HP will
share systems integration responsibilities in this effort and will market
their solution through a jointly sponsored seminar series.

HP Smart ContAct delivers open, comprehensive solutions for building and
managing customer-service centers. Through products and services provided by
HP and an extensive list of premier partners, Smart ContAct delivers
best-in-class solutions that include computer-telephony integration,
Internet-access business applications, data-access management, and
integration services.

Customer Xpress' flexible, consultative sales capabilities enable sales
consultants to focus on customers' needs during a service call. The selling
process is further augmented by Customer Xpress' knowledge base, which allows
product information to be dynamically changed in reaction to or anticipation
of market changes. The combination of providing real time customer and
product information and consultative sales capabilities can result in
increases in both order size and customer satisfaction.

The HP Smart ContAct/Customer Xpress solution transforms a process which
presently requires multiple systems and people to a process which involves a
single, intelligent, integrated solution and a single point of contact.
Additionally, the Customer Xpress/Smart ContAct solution integrates with both
existing legacy systems and new open solutions. This allows customers to
implement a solution that meets their current and future needs.

"We are excited about the integration of Customer Xpress and Smart ContAct,"
said Dennis Yablonsky, president and CEO, Carnegie Group, Inc. "This
technology benefits both the service organization and their customer by
leveraging the legacy information that service organizations have spent years
collecting, and provides a convenient vehicle to continually update that
information. The result is a service operation that retains existing
customers and attracts new buyers."

"Using this new solution, sales consultants will have fast access to
intelligent customer information so they can proactively identify products
and services which meet customers' needs and overcome competitive threats,"
said Arvind Sathi, vice president of business development, Carnegie Group,
Inc. "An added and significant benefit is that this alliance enables us to
significantly speed solution delivery."

"Companies looking to streamline their call center operations while improving
customer service and telesales can benefit from the complementary strengths
of HP Smart ContAct and CGI's Customer Xpress," said Kevin Faulkner,
solutions marketing manager of HP's General Systems Division. "HP's
expertise in delivering customer service center solutions and CGI's real
time, consultative sales capabilities can help our customers enhance their
cost efficiencies."
