This is one thing that irks me about AMD - the perennial string of lost opportunities.

That could be our theme this year.

I don't even want to get started on the total incompetence on the infrastructure side. These guys have messedup infrastructure launches 2 years in a row! People blaming Via should note that AMD owns this problem not Via.

I'm certainly not saying it is all Via's fault. As discussed, AMD has chosen to partner with Via and other chipset makers rather than devote engineering and other resources to these issues in-house. That's the Company's decision to make and it seems a reasonable one....but obviously in hindsight it wasn't the right one to make. Via cannot be relied upon and AMD erred both in its reliance and in its planning (again).

I can't believe they keep screwing this issue up...this is like semi-biz 101. Where's Ruiz in all this?
