Clearly you think these fears are unreasonable.
Do you remember "Gung Ho", when George Wendt is humiliated by a Japanese manager, and wants to clock him and quit, and is restrained. He says:"What am I supposed to do?" and Michael Keaton replies: "Take care of your family, man, that's what you are supposed to do". So Wendt's character swallows his pride, and goes on. I admire him for sucking it up, and I think that the Keaton character was right.
Anyway, I wish fewer people followed their dreams, abandoned their marriages when they went stale, and that more people had a sense of shame, for being self- involved, self- gratifying shirkers who make all of those around them suffer for their happiness........But, of course, that is just my opinion......... |
