John sorry for misunderstanding. AMD is not aiming at larger market share this year, at least not by much - the total number of units is slightly higher but so is expected demand. Keep in mind that amd is discontinuing k6 line which was 6+million units this quarter. I think that larger market share is Jerry's next year goal. For this year he wants to shift the mix from low to mid to cover all spectrum of retail market. So far he managed to capture more than 50% of retail high end from 0% at the end of last year. Jerry also wants to inro some products into commercial sector. It is true that pIIIs are more available but still not enough and not that many at high end. Regards -Albert
