Why do you think they call some horse "Ol' Nags"?
As far I know, someone who nags is someone who isn't very happy about something...

...and the bird thing...
Why do you think they call them Blue Birds...
Saddest birds around.
Many of them carry around their own tiny-flight-sized flask of Thunderbird ripple...
Once I saw a blue bird with a harmonica and guitar singing like John Lee Hooker.
He shared some of his ripple with me as I layed down a heavy-lowdown base line.
Then a Mourning Dove sat down behind the organ and began wailing...
...as a lame duck kept time behind the drum kit.
Was one hell of a jam session.
Then when we finished, we all sat down, smoked cigarettes, and told stories about how our lady left the nest, the landlord's looking for rent, and every time things start to get brighter, the man keeps us down, etc.

Then we all began making fun of Big Bird.
Now that is one bird without soul.
That bird has it too good.
Big Bird definitely can't sing the blues. Life was too easy...
...friggin puppet head.
