I agree that there is very little need for a PC. I have been planning on buying a new computer for the last three years, but haven't found a compelling enough reason to buy one. The last one I bought was a mac 9 years ago, it still works like a charm. However, I do feel there is a need for portable/laptop computers. A hookup to the net is not guaranteed everywhere you go, but electricity is (in one form or another).
