Jim Jerry Miculek is a famous "shooter" of the present and states simply the secret to his abilities. 800,000 rounds of practice. It seems little Henry was putting in the practice time anyway. The book is a pleasure and maybe a "guilty" pleasure. I even bought a couple of the guns mentioned, a Winchester 63 and an S&W K-22. They're very collectable. FWIW people that recommended this book also like "Blackhawk Down" as a very accurate portrayal of the Somalia incident. I have it also but haven't started it. I'm reading a book called "The God of the Machine" by Isabel Paterson who was a contemporary of Ayn Rand but differed in at least one way by having religious beliefs. A definite libertarian.
