Hi Greg,

I don't post very often any more, but I used to be a regular on Reid's thread until he retired very young. My friend, Doug H, got me alerted to your thread a couple of months ago.

I've really enjoyed following your take on the market, and think you do a great service with your candor and ability to adjust quickly to market conditions.

Your post about DUK and REI made me want to comment, since I started buying the utilities in May, thinking of the long, hot summer, and a quiet refuge from techs. I'm feeling a little more cautious with the run they've had, and looking very closely at their p/e's. You may want to have a look at TXU, which is very attractively valued here, has a European presence, but hails from Texas, which may bode well for them if Dubya gets in the White House.

Took a small position in PWER today, as it looks like it's setting for a squeeze if the #'s are agreeable tomorrow. Also, small postion in NT, bouncing off the 50. NT is one I want to own, seems like a good place to start. Blowout and upwardly revised revenue after the last quarterly report. Looking to accumulate my own basket of fiberoptic plays on weakness over the next month or so. The usual suspects...GLW, NT, SCMR, SDLI, NEWP, and AVNX.

Finally, here's a link to an interview with Don Hays. Very down to earth read on the markets, and something you might want to listen to.

Keep up the good dialogue, and thanks!
