Mark, I didn't say that I thought you were fat or stupid, but did say that I may have entertained some thoughts along that line. Just to compare physiques, I was once 6'1", 180 lbs, with a 29" waist, but those days are long gone. Age has a habit of making things sag a bit.

IMO, liberals are closet socialists. Clinton is a liberal because he is a socialist. As far as the behavior of adults, I totally agree with you but, it should be up to the parents to see that no child of theirs is subjected to that kind of environment. If I see something like that going on, I am also quick to have my say about it. I know that such contacts are happening in the cities of Texas but, I believe a lot of that has been imported from the many immigrants from other states into, what was once, a bastion on polite behavior. The smaller towns still have a decency about them.

You say you live in Texas but do not say you are a Texan so, maybe you are one of the transplants that came here because the "grass" was greener. I have been a Texan since 1942 so, dare say that I have seen much more of the growth of this great state than you have. If you have not seen much leadership from Bush as Governor of this state, you must not have been here during the reign of Ann Richards, who very nearly bankrupted the place. Bush had a difficult job to do to clean up the mess she left. He rolled up his sleeves, surrounded himself with good people, and got the job done in record time.

If your money is in stock, you should not be so confident. It is not "your" money until it is in your pocket. The money you refer to as "yours" is in the hands of corporate boards that can trip, and fall, at a moments notice, and leave you without a dime of your investment. I'm not against investing but, it is not the panacea of wealth.

Those that know me, know that I have a habit of "shooting from the hip". That can cause mistakes at times. It was not my intent to attack. Let me assure you, if I choose to attack, there will be no mistaking it as something else. ~H~
