JDN, Buffett says why he doesn't invest in technology ... its because he doesn't know and understand the business models ... Read his famous letters to shareholders in his annual report at berkshirehathaway.com. Which is good advice to anyone. Nothing to do with long/short term ... he only invests in businesses he knows and understands ... and technology is not among them. Over the past 30 years, he's done very well, although the last few (in which tech did so well) he's fallen behind Mssrs. Gates, Elison, et al. Doug Doug
