Tero - do you have any idea what you're talking about?

<European operators naturally went with W-CDMA to get the easiest upgrade from GSM-GPRS.>
Last I checked, there was no upgrade from GSM-GPRS to W-CDMA, only to EDGE. I don't mind being wrong, so please explain if you know how to upgrade the GSM air interface to a CDMA air interface without replacing the thing.

<the only EU mandate is to have at least one W-CDMA network in every country. There is no directive against cdma2000.>
I thought that this was something that the CDMA2000 camp was hoping for but not decided yet. Do you have any links I could use to do some research on this?
