I didn't see it until after I'd finished my post, and at that point, I'd had so much fun writing it I didn't want to change it just to conform to the reality of the movie.

But seriously, people are tough. Steven was a friggin Tulag Beat Poet down in the jungles of Borneo, with a wife and six kids. They lived on a diet of bananas and macaw eggs for years until the bulldozers rolled in and cleared the land of all the trees--including the one with the treehouse he'd built by hand. You think he wasn't worried about finding a new job, and taking care of his family? He just tightened up his loin cloth, headed to Manila, and got to work. And look at him now.

We go on. We survive.
