I've been in Asia for the past five years and have witnessed the growth and proliferation of cell phones (wireless). From the Asian perspective, i don't think that there are any doubts that wireless internet use will be the future. (DoCoMo in Japan has 8 million i-mode subscribers out of 21 million cell phone subscribers).

I think this is happening in Asia because it is a much more pedestrian population. I would imagine that to be true for the large urban centres in the US. Any trends in US or Europe that would support the growth of wireless internet access?
