Funny,but seriously folks.
ALL DIAMOND STOCK SHARE VALUES ARE DEPRESSED.
Debeers controls "big picture" news.
Debeers is buying and have to be pleased with low share values.
Argyle diamonds "fit" into what the Chinese market wants.
We need a few analysts speculating on how much world wide production is going to be sucked up by "new Asian markets".
I found the remarks about Chinese tariff reductions on coarse and polished diamonds coming down, interesting. Looks to me, like a lot of "coarse ARGYLE DEPARTMENT STORE STUFF" may end up being imported to CHINA and finished there.
You can bet your boots Debeers wants that market and can manipulate any perception they choose on the CHINESE with the budgets they have for advertising. From engagement rings, status symbols, to promotion as a vehicle for saving/investment.
Fundamentals look good for diamond stocks, but it would not be wise for Debeers to be promoting that idea, at the present time until they have scooped up all the production they can, at these ridiculously low prices.
And a comment to "the other place", big picture fundamentals, have very much to do with the viability of any diamond deposits (including CNB`s) being brought into production. It may be Ontario has a fair amount of department store and industrial diamonds and market demand for this product could make a difference. in my opinion
